Use a pair of tongs to light the charcoal until it sparks. When the charcoal is fully heated, a grey, ashy soot will cover the red-hot, glowing tab. This indicates the charcoal is ready for use. Spread the incense or resin on top of the charcoal and enjoy the exotic fragrances released.
